The new bridge is composed of two viaducts and an arched bridge that will connect the two banks of the Mantaro river, establishing a connection between Av. Daniel Alcides Ca rión from the city of Huancayo and the paved road that is on the other side of the river.
The layout of the new bridge has a curvature near the left stump; then it develops a rectilinear shape from pillar n ° 1.
The total extension is 736.40 m to the right secondary component, in correspondence of which the viaduct is connected with Av. Daniel Alcides Carrión of the city of Huancayo.
The route consists of three sections:
1- The beam bridge continues from the left shoulder to the beginning of the arched bridge with a length of 173.40 m;
2- The arch bridge with a length of 140.00 m;
3-The beam bridge continues from the arch bridge to the right platform of 423.00 m.
In the design phase, the hydrological conditions of the river and the maximum flows that are reached during the periods of greatest flooding of the river were taken into consideration.
